Season Notes

There will be nine RAC meets this season. Pole vault will be on the program at each meet and high jump will be on the program four times. The results from these meetings will be used to select the following pole vault awards:

best vault by a male, best vault by a female, greatest aggregate height (across each athletes best six meets) by a male, greatest aggregate height (across each athletes best six meets) by a female, 1st & 2nd in the handicap category.

The results from these meetings will be used to select the following high jump awards:

best jump by a male, best vault/jump by a female, 1st in the handicap category.

The awards will be presented at the RAC dinner, to be conducted at the end of the season.

The pole vault at RAC VII (26th March 2011) will be held at Mentone and will be for the memorial Wally Chisholm Cup. Wally passed in 2005, but coached pole vault from the 1950s until the 1990s and was largely responsible for Victoria being the dominant force in Australian pole vaulting for much of this period.
